Stephanie's Skin Tip!

Is your skin feeling dry? Maybe a tight feeling after you cleanse? Flaky and dull? What can you do to resolve this? EXFOLIATE It sounds counter-intuitive but you must rid the skin of the dry, dead skin cell build up. This not only eliminates the flakiness and smooths the texture, but also this allows those pores to receive and effectively absorb those nourishing serums and moisturizers. This combo supports the moisture barrier of the skin and keeps it healthy and balanced. If you just stick a heavier lotion, cream or even an oil on the skin to try and combat the dryness without the exfoliation in your regimen it’s just simply not effective. Those dry, dead skin cells are a road block and prevent proper absorption and nourishment. Ways to exfoliate:
1. A gentle exfoliating scrub like the Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser- a lovely non-abrasive sugar scrub with a heavenly lemongrass aroma- safe for even the most sensitive skin types like rosacea or eczema.
2. Using an exfoliating acid serum in your regular regimen. Some examples are: Rhonda Allison’s Mandelic Arginine Serum packed with AHA’s( fruit acids), amino acids, and antioxidants, Rhonda Allison’s Skin Refine Gel, or an Epionce lytic tx for your skin type and incorporating those into your night time regimen a couple to a few times a week.
3. Using an at home peel like Suki Resurfacing Enzyme Peel- gentle enough for all skin types and can be left on 10-15min and rinsed off or even used as a spot treatment for blemished areas by mixing with Suki Transformative Purifying Mask. This can be left on over night and will not irritate. This dynamic duo gets rid of pesky pimples fast!! This peel can be done as often as once a week. It’s great for in between professional treatments like facials and peels at the studio.
4. Incorporating regular facials and/or professional strength chemical peels, or adding dermaplaning to a facial. A couple treatments would be: Pumpkin Enzyme with 20% Lactic Acid peel Facial, Hibiscus peel Facial ( great for brightening, as wellacne), a Zen Goddess Facial with Dermaplaning, or the ultimate treatment, The Minus 10 Facial Peel (can add dermaplaning too) And a little holiday secret: there will be new treatments/procedures coming soon!!I’ll keep you posted.
